Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ-II)
💡 What is the AAQ-II?
The Acceptance and Action Questionnaire – Version 2 (AAQ-II) is a short questionnaire that looks at how you handle difficult thoughts and feelings.
It helps explore how psychological flexibility – or inflexibility – might be affecting your wellbeing. This means how well you’re able to stay open to difficult emotions and still do the things that matter to you.
It’s often used in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

🧠What does it measure?
The AAQ-II focuses on:
How much unwanted thoughts and feelings interfere with your life
Whether you try to avoid or control uncomfortable emotions
How able you are to stay present and act in line with your values, even when things feel hard
This is sometimes called experiential avoidance – trying to push away emotional discomfort instead of allowing space for it.
Certified. Responsive. Compassionate.
